The whole story started online, like every other sad love story. I, “Boogz" was just an ordinary girl who didn’t have many friends. See, I come from a fairly strict Christian home wherein my relationship with my father wasn’t very good. Despite all that, I kept to herself. Never messed around with the boys and kept my grades up at all times. You could probably describe me as " the girl next door ". What many don’t know about me is that I had a completely different life online…

You see, I was a socialite. Every person on my MXit contact list wanted to talk to me and I enchanted strangers in chat rooms. One stranger in particular liked how free I was to talk about myself, and thus decided to ask for my contact details so we could chat privately. Without thinking, I obliged, and began chatting to this somewhat mysterious young man.

El Toro: “So Miss, where might you be from? And what’s your sign?"

Lady_Boogz: " I’m from Kempton Park, in the East Rand. Not a fancy place to live in but it’s home. Oh, I’m and Aquarius, apparently… Where are you from?"

El Toro: "Sandton… *Kanye West shrug*"

Lady_Boogz: “Sandton, huh? U must come from a pretty wealthy family to reside there… just kidding. Lol. So, what can you tell me about yourself?"

El Toro: “Well, I’m a Taurus, I guess that speaks for itself. Lol. I’m a lover of art, music and poetry and I’m a fairly shy guy compared to my friends. Outgoing girls like you always chase after shy guys like me, I’m pretty sure you’ve developed a crush on me already. ;)"

Lady_Boogz: “LOL #dead Don’t flatter yourself sweety, I don’t even know what you look like yet. Not that looks matter, however if you don’t look the part (relative to the confidence you’re giving off) then I’ll be disappointed…"

El Toro: “If you ask nicely, perhaps I’ll share my picture with you in return for two of yours. I like your profile picture btw, and I’m sure you have a few more amazing pics of yourself lying around in your gallery. ;)"

Lady_Boogz: *blushing* “Thank you, and may I please have a picture of you? :)"

From that night forward we were “inseparable". Our online chemistry took our friendship further than we’d hoped. Sure, we were not dating, but we did like each other. I didn’t want to be forward, he didn’t want to rush things so we would not express how we felt about one another. I hated that I wasn’t sure of how he felt because he seemed so cool and reserved. Oh, and the picture he sent me…. Whoo! That boy was GORGEOUS!!! I’m talking light-skinned, rugby player body with a sexy smile kind of gorgeous. That only meant one thing: HE WAS OUT OF MY LEAGUE! I mean, I myself would never have dated a guy like that. I am chubby, not a fan of fancy hairstyles and make-up plus I'm not into designer clothing so I most definitely didn’t fit the profile. He seemed like the type that was into models and the girl in school everyone wants to be friends with because she’s so pretty and has an amazing personality. For some odd reason, he stayed with me, no matter how much I put myself down. Already, I felt insecure and tried to change my image in an attempt to get him to make a move, but this mountain wasn’t going ANYWHERE!

El Toro: Uhm, I’d like to ask you a personal question if you don’t mind…

Lady_Boogz: " I have time to kill. Shoot. :) "

El Toro: " … Your views on sex? "

Lady_Boogz: "Uuuuummmmmmmm….. Well, I’m not one to have sex yet. I’m still in high school dude. Lol"

El Toro: "So you’re a virgin? Do you plan on losing it when you’re done with school, perhaps?"

Lady_Boogz: "Uhm, I’ll let time and fate decide… And yes, I’m a virgin :D *pats self on back*"

El Toro: "Oh, alright… G2g, chat l8a ;)"

After that, I didn’t speak to him for a few days. " Is it because I’m a virgin? Was the answer about sex the wrong one? What exactly is his problem?!", I wondered. When he finally started talking to me again, I had a few questions to ask.

Lady_Boogz: "The last conversation we had was a bit awkward, no?"

El Toro: "I’m sorry, it’s just that I like sex, like a lot… So I wanted to know where you stood with it so that things won’t be awkward when I get “sexy" with you… "

Lady_Boogz: "Uhm, I’m not sure what you mean *confused*"

El Toro: "I meant that I don’t want you to feel awkward when I sext you… You don’t mind me doing that, right?"
